Stone Soup Supper
January 28 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
There is a legend about a stranger long ago who came to a village carrying only a cooking pot. He put it over a fire to boil water and a stone to make soup. Seeing he only had a stone for his soup, villagers added what food they had to his pot, creating a community pot of soup ample enough to share with everyone!
In that spirit, we’re having a fun-raising “Stone Soup Supper.” Bring a family-size pot or crockpot of homemade soup or chili to share. We’ll provide bread, beverages and bowls for sampling the other delicious soups.
Invite others (who don’t have to bring soup) to come and enjoy the soups and fellowship, too! The suggested offering is $8 for adults and $3 for children under 12 yrs. Give as you are able to give, to benefit our “Raising the Roof” fund. Let us know if you will attend.
