Many of our members are also in recovery and are seeking to live a spiritual life.

What denomination are you?Unity is trans-denominational. We honor all major world religions and welcome people of all faiths. Our beliefs are based on the teachings of Jesus, a metaphysical interpretation of the Bible and the age-old principles of the New Thought movement. Unity offers a positive, practical, progressive approach to Christianity to those seeking authentic spiritual growth.
-
What do you believe?Unity has 5 Core Teachings. My favorite way of encapsulating these teachings is to say, "My dogma is God and my creed is Love." Simply put, we believe you are originally blessed, not originally cursed. You are a child of the most High God and we are here to support you living into that spiritual nature. Please note: the idea of original sin is not a part of Judaism and was not a belief of Jesus. This was added by the church much later. Original blessing is the belief of the Jews and therefore, Jesus. And we follow the teaching and example of Jesus.

Below are Unity's 5 Basic Principles:UNITY'S 5 BASIC TEACHINGS: 1 - There is only one Presence and one Power active as the Universe and in my life. God the Good. 2 - Our essence is of God; therefore, we are inherently good. This God essence was fully expressed in Jesus, the Christ. 3 - We are co-creators with God, creating reality through thoughts held in Mind. 4 - Through prayer and meditation, we align our heart-mind with God. Denials and affirmations are tools we use. 5 - Through thoughts, words, and actions, we live the Truth we know.
